A Beautiful Song

"A song by David for going up to worship. See how good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in harmony!" Psalm 133:1

As I've been putting laundry away, shelving books, and doing the rest of every day life, I've been hearing the fall day joy my four youngest children are celebrating. Footballs being thrown back and forth, bikes making some of their last pre-winter ventures around the block, Micah's extremely accurate imitation of an ambulance siren. All music to my ears that sings out "we love each other and even like each other!"

Yes, as most siblings do, my children have their not so pleasant moments of bickering, teasing, and jealousy. However, at least most days, God blesses me with the sounds and sights of them enjoying one another's company. Today's glorious weather is the perfect scene for them to play together before the cold and snow make their way to our part of the world.

Each of my children have know many moves, adjustments, and more than a few challenges. One of the constants in their lives though since coming through our doors, has been family. When friends have been left behind, and new ones have yet to be made, the bonds my children have formed with one another are strong and true.

I am a blessed mom as I sing along with King David, "How blessed it is when sisters and brothers dwell together in unity!"
